So yesterday, the new Naked 2 palette from Urban Decay was released. If you know me, you know I'd do some real damage with the original Naked palette, and it has been on my wishlist for a very long time. But since you can't buy Urban Decay in our lovely corner of the world, it's going to be top pound to get one. I mean, the original Naked palette retails for $48 on Urban Decay's website. Ad another $15 for shipping, multiply it all by 8 and add R50 for customs, and you get what it'll cost me to get one of these... Sigh.
For those of you who know nothing of Urban Decay, it's just one of the leading makeup brands in the world. It's professional quality (hence the price tag) and all around the world makeup artists love their products. They are animal cruelty free too, which is awesome.
Anyway, this is the original one :
It has the following colours :
6.) Half Baked
8.) Dark Horse
All of the colours but Naked and Buck are shimmery, and those are the only two matte colours in the palette. With these colours, you can create loads of different looks, from really natural looking, to very smokey and sultry.
The new Naked 2 palette looks like this :
It has these colours :
2.) Half Baked (which is the only colour in both palettes)
3.) Booty Call
There are 3 matte colours in this palette , Foxy, Tease and Blackout. It is always good to have a matte black in your makeup kit, because you can use it to set your eyeliner. This palette retails for $50, but is sold out from Urban Decay's site at the moment, due to a massive demand to buy them yesterday. It's probably going to be that way for a while, as they are now putting people on an email waiting list for this palette.
Here are some looks people have made with the original Naked palette :
All I can say at this point in time is I wants one!!
Stay beautiful people, and have a great weekend!
