Beauty Tag!

Hello beauties!

I found this beauty tag on LUUUX quite a while ago, and thought I'd share it with you today. If you don't know what a tag is, it's kind of like a questionnaire, but when one person fills it in, those who read it have to fill it in too. So you feel free to answer in the comment section if you want to!

I left out the questions that require using brands only available in other countries.

The Questions :

1) How many times do you wash your face daily?

2) What skin type do you have? (Click here if you don't know!!)
Combination, I have an oily T-zone and dry cheeks.

The Piano Guys are awesome!

Hello beauties!

I've blogged about the Piano Guys before, but their newest video is just too good not to share! They consist of 5 guys,  Jon Schmidt who plays the piano and composes, Steven Sharp Nelson who plays the cello and composes, and the behind the scenes guys : Paul Anderson, Tel Stewart and Al Van Der Beek. \

These Guys are friggen fantastic! Anyone who loves music has to love them. They always take music, no matter if it's classic or contemporary, and turn it into magic. And what makes it more amazing is to see the utter enjoyment on their faces. They love what they do! And then the cinematography is awesome as well, so not only are your ears in a magical fantasy world, your eyes can enjoy it as well! :D

You can check out their website here, where you can donate to the cause, and buy music in mp3 form. If you become a founder, you get bundles of goodies.

Without further ado, here are the videos. I'm including some of my favourites along with the newest one, Rockelbel's Canon.

There are a bundle of other videos too, I'd post them all if I could. For the love of music subscribe!! :)

Plans to take over the world!!

Hello beauties!

I'm really excited to let you know, my hubby and I are going travelling a little later this year! This is incredibly exciting to us since neither of us have ever been outside of South Africa, and I've dreamed of going to these places since I was a little girl.

First stop, London. My brother in law has been living there for four years now, and no one has ever visited him! So we'll be the pioneers in this area and pay the man a visit...

Tower Bridge, London
Next, we're going to Paris. What I'm most excited about is seeing the art museums. The Louvre and the Musèe d'Orsay, where they have some of the most famous paintings ever, like the Mona Lisa. I've dreamed about seeing a real Van Gogh my whole life, and now I'll actually do it!

The Louvre
Then, we're going to Venice! I'm stoked about actually seeing this romantic place (not that Paris isn't romantic!!) and going on a gondola ride.

Then, before we come home, there is a chance we'll go to Amsterdam for a day or so. This isn't confirmed yet, but I'll keep you up to date.

Tulips from Amsterdam
We'll be away for three weeks from the end of August to middle September. We won't be in London over the Olympics, which is a good thing in my opinion! Now, being away for three weeks means no blogs, unless you want to 'travel with me' ans bear with me if I share my day's sightseeing and experiences with you. Please let me know how you feel about this?

Hello beauties!

I bought the Creaclip on special a few weeks ago. Now, I've blogged about this clip before, stating that I'd actually try it out. Being on the cruelty free route I am, I decided I'd avoid hair salons as much as possible, since I know the products they use endorse animal testing (which is why I now colour my hair with henna!). But on the other hand, my hair needs cutting, just as everyone else's does. So I bought the Cearclip when it came on special one day and it worked out less than what I pay to cut and blow dry my hair at a salon! So even if I use it only once, the money I paid wasn't wasted.

I got my package in the mail about a month after it was sent. It would have arrived sooner, but the SA Post Office was striking again. I'll not get into my annoyance with service in South Africa here, but know I am annoyed! The package came in a bubble envelope and I got the two clips and an instructional DVD inside.

Yesterday I phoned up my mom and told her we were cutting our hair in the afternoon. She sounded a little scared, but gave in anyway. So we sat down in front of her TV, watched a few of the clips on the DVD and set up our cutting station in the kitchen.

I went first, since my mom has actually cut hair before, and had more confidence than I did! I sat down, got a towel over my shoulders and sat for a total of ten minutes before it was done. We decided to cut off more, so the second time went a lot quicker.

So simple! Here's the video we used to cut my style :

Next, It was my mom's turn. We sat her down and I panicked a bit! We first layered her hair in the front, but decided to throw her whole head over and layer it all. I don't have pictures of this, since Jan disappeared with my brother to play computer games.

We did the basic layer technique on my mom, here's the video :

So, before and afters :

Ain't my mommy a beaut?!

Cool huh? It went so quick and it really was easy! Next time we'll have more confidence to go more drastic. :) Anyway, I'm really very impressed. There are a bundle of styles you can try on the Creaclip YouTube, and you can cut your own hair in your own home exactly how you want it! And it's really inexpensive too.

I hope you have a fantastic weekend!
