We were fortunate enough to attend the wedding and make a weekend getaway out of it. The scene was a beautiful bushveld lodge in Bronkhorstspruit, with rolling landscapes and a river, wildlife and nature's awesomeness. Luiperdskloof Lodge was the perfect setting for Rochel and Craig's big day.
Additionally, I think my cousin and aunt did an amazing job of this wedding, as everything was very elegant and beautiful. Soft white roses and moss green velvet made up the tables, and the little touches were fabulous. The guests got to take home incense sticks and wooden hearts with their names on. Such a nice touch!
There's also the fact that Rochel looked beautiful! Craig could barely keep his eyes off her, and with good reason. He's a lucky guy, that's for sure. Haha!
We had such a lovely time at this wedding. The food was great, especially the desert, and the outdoor setting was really cozy by the warmth of the fire. The speeches brought a tear to my eye, but most of all when Stassen and Rochel spoke. It was really an honour to be a part of the day.
Rochel and Craig, once again, congratulations. I hope you have an amazing and blessed life together, filled with heaps of love and more beautiful memories like your wedding day.
Now I'll shut up and let you look at the photos!
I feel like I need to caption this next photo. There was a bit of a mishap the wedding, in the form of the pastor getting lost. He was about an hour late, but in spite of the little delay, the ceremony was still beautiful. In the photo below, Craig was just getting off the phone with the people who had gone to look for the pastor. :)
The following morning, we woke up early and went for a hike up one of the trails in the lodge. Here are some of the photos of that.
Lastly, some of the photos my mom took.
Yep, that's me in stockings and a skirt, wielding the camera while hiking up a trail. Don't worry folks, stupidity isn't contagious.
Have a good week!
